Hmm, I'm back, blogging again. I've graduated from my MSc course since. Been about half a year since I came back from UK after my graduation.
Still failed to find a job, got an interview from a bioscience company a month ago, didn't get any feedback since then, guess I screwed up the interview. Funny thing, I applied for the post of molecular biology technician, but the HR persuaded me to go for technical support instead, dealing with customers from all over Asia Pacific region, because I do not have relevant working experience (really?!?!?!?). Customer service is not what I want actually, I want to have hands on experience in the lab, but guess that's not going to happen, even my interviewer said I'm over qualified for those kind of lab positions, they don't need a master's degree holder for that, a diploma holder is good enough (oh well, how am I going to get relevant working experience like that).
Looked around China using a website my Chinese friend introduced to me, lots of biosciences company offering molecular biology technician, looks hopeful, but I think I'm pretty much eliminated from consideration, after hearing what my interviewer said previously. Guess I shouldn't think about working in the lab anymore, I'm over qualified for technician, and under qualified for researcher position, and PhD is going to take 4 years to study, too f***ing long. Yeah, goodbye, my dream of working as a researcher.
Looked around Malaysia using jobstreets, pitiful results, less than 5 relevant results came out. Looked at the number of applicants: a few thousands. Are you f***ing kidding me, I even saw some people with PhD qualification applied for the job, I don't know how am I going to even get shortlisted for interview, much less getting employed.
GG, time to face the consequences of studying what I like instead of what gives the most job opportunities. But then, even if I decided to take finance or accounting back then, I doubt I'd be able to graduate, f*** me.
Enough rant for today, guess I should start looking around Singapore or Hong Kong, keep my fingers crossed, hope for the best.

30th October 2015
Hmm, reviving the blog which has been dead for the past 4 years. Lol.
I have no idea what am I trying to do now, suddenly just have the urge to post something before going to bed.
My last post was in September 2011, and I was just starting my BSc final year in UK.
4 years later, I'm once again in UK, just started my MSc studies, who would have thought of that.
Right now I'm probably just trying to post something out in an attempt to try activate my interest for blogging again. Lol.
OK, it's 12.30am right now as I'm typing, I shall go to bed now, waking up at 7am later on.
Let's hope this will be the 1st of a series of posts I'll be making over here. I certainly hope that my next post won't be another 4 years from now, haha. Ciao!

30th September 2011
Last day of September 2011, last day of my weekdays...yay...
Yeah, another update after posting just yesterday....because I'm free now, in school library, again...
Had my 1st class for module Applied Genomics.....LOVED it......I'm always interested on stuffs related to genes, DNA.....it's tough, it's a lot to read, study, but I can't help it, just interested in this subject...
The class supposedly ends at 11.00am, but it's the 1st class, the lecturer just briefed through us the surface, something like revising what I have studied previously...and the class ended at 10.30am...
Still too early for lunch, I came to library and expect to stay until around 12pm....I still have another class on 2pm....yeah, Friday is the only day I'm having full day in school....
The Internet connection my house is getting a bit 'cacat' lately, highly unstable, either DC every few minutes, or connected, but can't surf the web.....cacat, even when I try to use my phone's 3G connection also it's too slow to use on laptop....it's frustrating, I can't Skype with my mom, I can't Facebook, Youtube, heck, I can hardly even check my school stuffs online....
So for now, I think I'll try to stay in the school library more, at least the connection here is faster, and more importantly, FAR MORE STABLE....
Since I have bought the 3 terms bus pass, I think I can even come to school on weekends if the connection in my home continues to fail me...besides, as my course progresses, I think I might even stay in library more to search for information: books, faster Internet connection......
Hmm, it's already 11am now as I'm typing this phrase....I'm running out of idea what to write here....so I guess that's all for my post today.....enjoy the coming weekend, to all my friends!

29th September 2011
Man, I always feel like I should update the blog regularly, but ended up lazy....and now I'm in the school library, I think I should at least update the blog today after few days of inactivity, lol....
Hmm, just had officially my 1st lecture in UWE this morning, for the module Cancer Biology and Genetics. It started 9am, and ended around 11.30am.....I can't even remember when was the last time I had attend a long lecture already, last year's Sep-Oct short semester perhaps? Hmm...
But anyway, 1st lecture of all, it's quite nice, as the module title mentioned, I'm gonna be learning about cancers, what causes them, what happens, and what's the treatments....
Already getting a warning from the module leader in day 1, that this is going to be a tough module, gonna have lots of lots of stuffs to study about, need to do lots of reading....gosh, God bless me, lol....
------------------------
Other than the 1st lecture, I attended my lab session in UWE yesterday.
Well, it's the session for the compulsory module, Project....yeah, I started my final year project.....
And guess what, I don't even know what is the title of my project, right until the lab session I attended yesterday. The project wasn't that bad, it's more or less something I'd prefer, but I'd much prefer if I can get to choose at least the title of the project, at least the main frame of what I'm gonna be working on.
Back in UCSI, we can choose our own project....I don't know if my other coursemates, the locals, can choose what they wanna do for the project, but this is what UWE offers to its international students, they decide for you, like it or not, you have to do it......
But anyway, I quite enjoyed the session yesterday, basically, the whole thing is about doing some dilution on the E. coli and culture them on plate....
And, I also got to know 2 Malaysian students from the session, who are also working on the same title as me, yeap, it's a group project, consists of 20-30 students. Just that each of a small group of 3-4 students are working on slightly different stuffs......
---------------------
Alright, what else can I blog about? That all for now I guess, hopefully new post will come up again pretty soon...

24th September 2011
In my previous post I mentioned that I will write another post in the same day, end up didn't write anything again, lol....once I've get home I tend to be lazy....
And today, I decided to update it, been at home for the whole day, yeap, not even 1 step out of the house. Bought the ingredients required for my cooking yesterday, so today just cook, eat, and online.....lol......
Watched a few episodes of The Big Bang Theory in the morning, by streaming online. Kinda enjoyed watching this comedy series since I watched 2 episodes on the plane while flying to London.
Cooked herbal chicken soup today, I didn't buy the herbs, in fact, I don't even know what, or where to buy all the herbs needed, lol....
The herbs I used were packaged into a bag, something like a tea bag......my mom bought me few packets of these herbs and I brought it here.
The only ingredient which I need to prepare myself is the chicken, I bought a few chicken thighs yesterday, and used half of them for today's soup, I plan to cook spaghetti with tomato sauce again tomorrow, to finish up the chicken thighs.....
I added potato and spinach also, just to throw in some ingredients which remained after cooking previous meals...
Watched a BPL match in evening, Manchester United against Stoke City, and ManU draw 1-1...
And then, online-ing and gaming at night, that's all for my day, lol...

21st September 2011
Ha, and I thought I might be blogging quite often here in UK, ends up my 1st post in UK comes in 1 week after I reached here.
Right now I'm inside the library of UWE (University of the West of England). Nothing much to do today, just came to attend a short half an hour IT lab induction, which basically to introduce all the IT facilities the school provides to its students.
Among all the facilities, what really caught my attention was the ability to access the documents I saved in school PC, from basically anywhere outside the school.
There is a 1GB space provided to each student, in school PC, it appears as if it's part of the partition created in the computer HDD, but actually, it's often backed up by the school's IT team, and can be accessible from outside via the Intranet network.
This is cool, and useful from what I think, I don't have to worry about my laptop will crash during my work, or the pendrive where I saved the file at will corrupt. It also saves me time to upload the file up to any online storage service, or email back to myself.
They also provide printing services where students send the files to print to the printing machines, and then print it from the machines. This was much like what I've seen when I was studying in TARC. Just that this is more convenient, due to the fact that I don't have to buy a card specifically just to use the printing service, I can just straight away top up my account, which was already created for registered students, using any top up kiosk around the campus, and when I want to print, I'll just have to log in my account on the machine and print stuffs. However, the charges are pretty expensive if converted to MYR, well of course if you don't convert, it's pretty good. It's just 4p (approx. 20sen in MYR) for 1 A4 page of black and white, and 15p (approx. 75sen in MYR) for 1 A4 page of colour printing.
This makes me think of the free printing service provided in library back in UCSI, where you just have to bring your own paper, and print for free.....
Alright, since I have nothing else to do in school today, I shall return home, and do some cooking for today, and enjoy the rest of the day. This post is pretty long by now, I think I'll just make a new post again by today, to tell some stories of my life here, and also post some photos.

1 day left in KL
1 more day here, and I'll be leaving for UK. Practically feels nothing until last Sunday, when it's really close to departing from KL, my mood starts to get abit down.
I know I'm gonna miss KL alot, my home, my family, friends, the food, and so on....
Just gonna have 2 breaks in my 9 months study over there, 1 is around Christmas, and another is around April. My dad asked me not to come back to KL, because he think it's much better if I can spend my holidays traveling around Europe. Well, that's what I think as well, but that's if I can cope with home-sick.
I might be returning to KL during Christmas break, if the break is around 3 weeks long, because in that way I can spend around 1 week traveling around, and the remaining time in KL, or else the RM4k trip back to KL is gonna be too costly.
Probably gonna pickup blogging again during my time in UK, it's the best way for me to share my life, stories with my family and friends. But you guys will have to cope with my long essay type of blogging style.
Gonna reach Bristol a few days earlier, before the new term starts. So I should be spending these few days to get familiar with my area, and also the public transports which I should be using to get to uni, and also to city centre. Have to know where to get nice and cheap food, where to buy groceries, where to buy those daily use product, where to find laundry shops....arrrghhh, so many things to find out....
Still haven't finish packing my luggage, gonna rush everything in next morning.....
Hopefully everything will go smoothly in UK......
